![]() Good luck and hope I've helped you resolve your problem. I open their setup file and can view there routing offline before I am sitting at their console. I also use it when I have to work with another person's Yamaha 01V, 02R, DM1000 etc. I use of SM as a back up to my saved settings on the console. So now any changes made in Studio Manager will be mirrored exactly on the Yamaha. Dragging a fader up on your computer will do the same on the Console - and vice versa. Studio Manager will show the same fader positions you have on your console. ![]() If you get this far - success! You will immediately see that the Console and Studio Manager are communicating. You'll now see a window showing the synchronizing progress bar. Choose "Console to PC", so you do not accidentally over write your settings on your Yamaha. Now you can go to the "Synchronization" menu and select "Re-Synchronize". So in your first example USB Port 1, Console Device ID 1. "Input Port" and "Output Port", you can now select the USB Port you selected in the DIO/SETUP screen on the Yamaha. In the 01V96i GUI, go to FILE, System Setup. In the next selection "MIDI Settings" you should see all the MIDI I/O Ports for your 01V. You should see the 01V96i in the "Add Device" box and the same in the "Workspace" Box. In Studio Manager you have to setup the Device Manager (SM2, Preferences, Modify Workspace). ![]() Then once Studio Manager is installed, you can connect your 01V96i to your computer and open Studio Manager (if it is not already running). You should not have the Yamaha connected via USB at this time. > I now feel really disappointed with Yamaha, because the older 01v96 editor works within Cubase 7 64bit, and thus it should not be that hard to adapt the device driver for the 01v96i USB version. As you know, Studio Manager is a stand alone program on your PC only and you first need to install all the correct drivers to complete the Studio Manager installation. We can get in contact with our japaneses Software developers again, but earlier request for an 64bit Version of the 01V96i Editor were answered in that way, that it is not planned to release such dedicated 64bit Version. Then choose the SURROUND MODE: 3-1 or 5.1 or 6.1. To select a SURROUND MODE, press the PAN/ROUTING Display Access Key so the SURR MODE page is shown on the LCD. 01V96i can also perform surround panning. Thererfore if you want to integrate the Studiomanager within Cubase, you Need to use a Cubase 32bit Version as well. 01V96i Quick Start Guide 10/32 PAN The PAN settings of the selected input channel can be edited here (output channels do not have Pan). This makes it more flexible compared to the integrated Studiomanager in the Cubase Software.Ī Cubase 64bit Version requires an 01V96i 64bit Editor Software which is not available. "If you use the standalone Yamaha Studiomanager Software on a 32bit or 64 bit Systems, then the Studioamanger Software is capable to open 32bit and 64bit Editor Versions together. Just had a reply from Yamaha Europe, i quote: I have gotten the MIDIs to show up, but the resynchronize button is greyed out. I have Windows 7 64 bit, have installed SM, 01v96i, a MIDI and USB driver, but I can't synchronize SM and the console. Any tips very welcome, i think it must be a flaw in the 01v96i.DLL not being loaded in Studio manager 64 bit because of some eraneous routings set somewhere in the Windows registry, or in some Cubase related XML in de users/steinberg/studiomanager folders. I am trying to use Yamaha Studio Manager with my 01v96i. ![]() Note please that i am not talking about the Remote functions of the 01v96i with Cubase, they seem to work OK. I e-mailed support and "contact-us" addresses with either Steinberg and Yamaha, but they did not respond with any "support" at all for the past 2 weeks. I wonder if Steinberg -Yamaha never tested this Studio Manager and 01v96i editor-driver combination properly i specially bought this Yamaha desk because it was supposed to work integrated from within Cubase 7 as i saw with the older versions and a 02R desk. I tried another, Yamaha 01v96VCM editor, not the i-version, this load OK. The editor works standalone though, AND also within 32 bit Cubase 5 on the same PC. Could use some expert help with my new 01v96i desk: - With Windows 7 64 bit and Cubase 7.5 and 7.0.6 the 01v96i editor doesn't load and work with Studio Manager 64 bit from within Cubase 64bit.
